After debuting on the Nexus S 4G, the new Swype update is coming to all enabled handsets
Last week, an update to the Swype keyboard application was made available to those using the Nexus S 4G as a Sprint exclusive. As we reported, the update brought to the Swype users on the handset a dictionary, automatic capitalizing of proper nouns and using gestures to select text and for editing. Later this week, a beta version of the update will be made available to all other handsets that support the swipe to type system. Of course, the Sprint skin will be removed first.

The new gesture support allows Swype users to edit messages quickly and specific gestures will allow the user to cut, copy and paste. Other gestures will allow Twitter and Facebook to be launched. The release date for the broad distribution of the update is not yet known. Registration is still open to Android users who can sign up immediately by clicking on the sourcelink.
