The Asus ROG Phone could begin shipping in late October
Asus introduced the world to the ROG Phone way back in June. But over three months later, there is yet to be any official confirmation in regards to the device’s release date. If a new listing on the website of retailer GearBest is accurate, though, the official release date may have been revealed.

According to the retailer, the ROG-branded gaming smartphone will begin shipping out between October 22 and October 24 when it comes to orders placed through its website. This would suggest that orders placed through Asus’ own website will begin shipping a bit sooner, probably on Friday, October 19.

For those unaware, the Asus ROG Phone boasts a large 6-inch AMOLED display and is equipped with Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845. In addition to this, the model announced in June will ship with 8GB of RAM and the choice of 128GB or 512GB of internal storage. Since then, however, new information has surfaced which suggests that variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM will also go on sale eventually. When it comes to the camera department, a main 12-megapixel camera adorns the rear and is coupled with a secondary 8-megapixel sensor. Separately, a front-facing 8-megapixel selfie camera is also included up front. Completing the setup is a generous 4,000mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo straight
out of the box.

As there is still no official word from Asus, the release date listed by GearBest could still be wrong. But more often than not, these online retailers receive their information from companies directly which would suggest that Asus will officially confirm the release date in the coming weeks.

Orders for Taiwan market started today shipments will start on the 1st of October, on the other hand you can Order from China next week on the 26th. I think it's the only Phone worth it's premium price. I am thinking of ordering it from China but i am not sure if i will be able to install Google play store on it without issues.

Best design+dual stereo speakers. Google needs to take a couple of design tips from them, i love the symmetry and the colored speakers grilles. This is what the Pixel 3 should have been.

But the Black Shark's price is more enticing.

Its a great phone too. Had a go of one with the add-on controller and its really good on Pubg, guns of boom, etc. If you don't care about the camera and you've got $ ready, at least its available now

Who cares about a 1 year old chipset. Total fail let’s just wait for 7nm snapdragon 855 which will blow this one out of the water for a fraction of the costs.

I don't really care about the accessories, but I want a phone with 2 USB-C ports, that alone is worth a lot for me in a time when everyone else is ditching ports.... I guess I would miss the microSD card slot, but it is more forgivable than not 3.5mm jack in my opinion, specially for games where bluetooth audio tend to have lag and sync issues.

$1300 for a phone. I'll wait until next year when the price goes down

Nope, it's 876 USD in China for the 8GB/128GB storage model of course without the accessories. If you need the accessories you will have to pay more.
