iPhone OS 4.0 already exists?
It´s not a secret that everything that happens on the Internet gets registered and sometimes the logs provide insight on interesting facts like, for an instance, the list of operating systems that powered the devices that opened the website BGR at the time of the visit. The mentioned list includes the yet unannounced iPhone OS 3.1.3 and 4.0. That´s all - there are no details on the improvements the new editions bring along or when we are to expect their release. While we don´t really think it´s likely that we see version 4.0 any time soon, perhaps iPhone OS edition 3.1.3 is just around the corner. If you happen to know anything about the future versions of Apple´s OS for mobile devices, please do share it with us using our tip form.

I don't see much that Apple could make/add to the iPhone to constitute a version 4.0 so soon. Then again, I don't own an iPhone so I wouldn't personally know some of its shortcomings...

The lack of custom SMS alert tones is honestly the only thing that's really gotten under my skin since I've had mine. It just won't allow you to unless you jailbreak it, which I refuse to do, because it's such a basic thing that the phone should already have it.

Yeah and time/date stamping of every damn text/pic message. My wife's is so irriated with that cause she has no idea when they were recieved/sent sometimes.
