Upcoming AT&T LG Escape surfaces with Snapdragon S4, LTE and mid-sized screen

IFA 2012 has come and gone, and while a lot of companies delivered tons of new handsets, LG kept quiet, only announcing the LG Optimus L9, a nice mid-ranger, but nothing to rival the big guys from other phone makers. This here LG Escape, an AT&T-bound handset that has just leaked out, adds more variety to LG’s portfolio.
It still won’t stand a fight against premium devices like the Galaxy S III, but it should at least hold its ground with its dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor and 1GB of RAM, powering Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The screen is fit more for those looking for smaller and more compact sizes - it’s a 4-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. On the back, there’s a 5-megapixel rear camera and the phone also supports AT&T’s 4G LTE bands.
If you’re not particularly picky about resolution, though, this LG Escape seems like a nice way to escape paying for a costly device and still have a more than decent smartphone. We don’t know much more about this just leaked out device - the images do look legit, but keep a shade of doubt as it’s just a rumor for the moment.

Doesn't look bad. Looks very compact. Wife would love this.

Not bad. Lacks the big size of the heavyweight phones, but holds its own as a solid device. I see this being one of LG's big sellers down the road...
