The HTC Velocity 4G is a 5-inch smartphone with LTE support
The yet-unannounced HTC Velocity 4G has just popped up out of the Global Certification Forum's database and is likely to become one of the next Android smartphones to join the company's lineup. And it is going to be one massive device indeed, if its rumored specs turn out to be correct.

It is said that the HTC Velocity 4G will sport a 5-inch screen with qHD resolution (540 by 960 pixels). Inside it will tick a 1.5GHz dual-core processor of some kind and an 8-megapixel camera will be located on its back. In terms of software, Android 2.3 Gingerbread will come out of the box, and an LTE radio will be in stock for speedy access to the web on the go.

Interestingly, the HTC Velocity 4G is said to be bound for the Australian market where it will be offered through Telstra. However, the LTE bands that it supports are used in some parts of Europe and Latin America, so a broader launch is not out of the question. Will the smartphone ever be available in the U.S. will likely not be known until it gets treated to an official announcement.
