Nokia T7-00 leaks out kickstarting Nokia's T series, Symbian hasn't burned just yet
Share:
So you thought that if Symbian is a burning platform you should abandon it right now? Definitely not what Nokia thinks as it suggests you to enjoy the heat with the leaked Nokia T7-00, a Symbian^3-powered handset that is about to kickstart the T series of handsets. Oh and no, our wishful thinking was disappointed as well - the T is not for a tablet, at least judging by the resolution of 360 x 640 pixels on this device as you can see on the Ovi publisher slide below.
The resolution suggests a
portrait-oriented phone and listed next to the Nokia heavyweight in
the Symbian^3 department, the Nokia T7-00 looks promising. Further
digging in the Nokia files revealed that the T7 is coming in a WCDMA
and TD-SCDMA flavors, the latter one looking China-bound. Further information – and most
importantly a picture – haven't appeared just yet, but we're sure
to hear more about this soon.

I am so confused by Nokia's strategy. "Burning Platform" my ass. Commit to something and make it great! Or at least appear to be great like Apple does. What worries me when Nokia does the switch over to Windows Phone will support for Symbian ^ 3 just vanish? And if that's the case Why would people keep purchasing Symbian ^ 3 phones? COME ON NOKIA SHOW US THE N950 ALREADY!!!

"burning platform" is Elop's bad idea of suggesting Nokia should dump Symbian for WP7 his alma mater's brainchild. This move makes him a hero both to MS and NOKIA top brass but not to the millions who believe in Symbian and Meego. I think Nokia will eventually realize its mistake very soon and will decide against scrapping its OS but instead further its improvement and development into a highly competitive OS.

I have a question guys
Nokia and Microsoft made a partnership to make phones that will use the windows operating system that will compete to Andoid and Apple's iOS and will phase out Symbian (awwww poor Symbian...joke). Will they phase out the Symbian slowly or they will phase it at once?

I hope they will not phase Symbian instead they should be improving it by throwing some good updates and make a functional windows phone...
