Nokia Lumia 929 to have November 21st release date?
While still not officially unveiled by the manufacturer, the Nokia Lumia 929 arguably is the most important Windows Phone model to date. Why is it more important than say, the Nokia Lumia 1520? After all, the latter is the first Windows Phone phablet and debuts the GDR3 update to the platform from Microsoft. That allowed Nokia to offer specs on the phablet that match those on top-shelf Android phones.

But with a 6 inch screen, the Nokia Lumia 1520 could be too big to be comfortable for many consumers. Thus, the similarly spec'd Nokia Lumia 929 could be labeled as being more important. With an expected 5 inch screen sporting resolution of 1080 x 1920, the 441ppi pixel density will be the best among any Windows Phone flavored handset ever. The rest of the specs should be the same as seen on the Lumia 1520, including the rear-facing 20.7MP camera. This would seem to put the Nokia Lumia 929 in the position of being a litmus test for the platform. If there was ever a Windows Phone handset that could hold its own with the Samsung Galaxy S4, LG G2 and HTC One based purely on specs, this would be the one.

So just when might we see the Nokia Lumia 929? According to a tip from someone who claims to be a Verizon insider, both the Nokia Lumia 929 and the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet will be released by Big Red on November 21st. That would be one day before the November 22nd release date for the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet and Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet via AT&T.

The tip also mentions that because the launch of the Nokia Lumia 929 would be coming so close to the November 29th  Black Friday "shopping holiday," we could see a deal with the Nokia Lumia 929 priced at $199 with a signed two year pact. We've already seen a Black Friday promo card offering the Lumia 2520 slate for $399 at Verizon. There is also a possibility that Verizon will offer a deal where the tablet would be priced at just $199 if purchased along with the Nokia Lumia 929 handset.
