New information about the 4-inch Apple iPhone 7c emerges; mass production starts next momth?
New information about the Apple iPhone 7c has been leaked. You might recall that a China Mobile roadmap listed the device as launching in April. Today's leak states that the handset will resemble the shape and size of the Apple iPhone 5c, and will be offered in three colors. The new model will be powered by a 1642mAh battery.

Based on previous speculation, the metal-clad iPhone 7c will carry a 4-inch screen with 2.5D curved glass, and employ the Apple A9 chipset that is found inside the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus.

The iPhone 7c has completed a small trial production, according to today's report, and will start mass production next month. Back in April, we told you that AU Optronics had received an order for 4-inch panels to be used for the iPhone 7c. That was follow by a report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said that the 4-inch iPhone 7c would launch in 2016.

Until Apple announces the device, it is not official. But all signs do point to a 4-inch iPhone 4c that will be available early next year.

Thanks for the tip!

iPhone 7C to release before 7 & 7plus?
It should be called 6C.

True Cause The 5c Was Released With The 5s. Even Tho This New C Variant Didn't Realse With The 6s It Should Still Be Called The 6c.

It's a marketing ploy to trick naive people into buying last year's stuff under the guise of buying the "new" iPhone 7 ahead of the September launch of the actually new models. Apple is a marketing trick genius company and this new scheme will be just as successful as most of their others.

If a person buys a 4 inch phone and think it's the new iPhone 7, they deserve it!

"Momth".

Anyway no matter what they release, millions will buy it, even if it's a technically terrible device.

4 is just to small i feel like 4.2 would be better and it's been 2 years since the last 4in iphone, surely apple could fit 4.2in display in the 4in shell by now.

but hey i'm just being nitpicky, if people want 4in then give it to them.

I totally agree with and it might be possible since they can fit the 750p resolution of the iPhone 6/s in a smaller display, not sure if they'll do that though, I think that if they opted to make it 4.2 inches it'll have the same resolution as the iPhone 5/s wich still ok but 750p will be nicer(god I hope they update the normal iphone 7 (no 7 plus) to 1080p.)

4.7in iPhone 7 With Better Screen To Body Ratio And 1080p, I Swear Apple Will Finally Have My Money LOL. And Apple Should Really Give The 6c A 720p Display.

It has to be 4 inches because if they changed it the devs would have to rewrite their apps to accommodate a new screen size.

No, it doesn't. Devs have to use the standard UI resolutions Apple set up.

You're not understanding what that is. Devs have to code in UI elements in one of the native resolutions.

Yeah I Know But They Only Need To Code For One Size Screen And Since This Was Released During Ios 8 Most Apps Have Probably Been Updated With The New Code To Support Any Screen Size.

I think there's a typo in the last sentences it says iphone 4c, I guess is actually 7c right?

I hope that the iPhone 7c gets some metal love :3 and since the rumour says it'll be avaliable in three colours I guess those will be the colours of the current IPhones

Wow ! Oh yeah ! 1642 mAh battery !!, YesYesYes... That's over 6Wh !
Really nice upgrade over the 5S.. which got 5,92 ! Or 5C ? Not sure who is the true predecessor.

Only thing to perfection is, that it has to be less than 7,6 mm and oh... Lightest iPhone ever ?

Three iPhones a year ? That's crazy ! Hey Apple what about leving some room for competitiors to breathe ? At leat in the first half of the year.

Lets not talk about the S6's TERRIBLE battery life lmfao!!!

The S6 has terrible battery-life?

According to PA's test which I take with a grain of salt because they have poor testing methods, pegged the Galaxy S6 at 7hrs 12mins (Good) which is good based on their tests.

The iPhone 6S in comparison got 8hrs 15mins (Excellent).

So to just round off, its an hour difference.

Now lets consider, the iPhone 6S only got one hour more usage due to running dual cores, 750p display, 2GB RAM, 12MP cameras and you know the rest. This versus a phone with a 1440p display, dual quadcores, 16MP camera and 3GB of RAM...full multi-tasking and more.

So you saying a phone that does more which last only an hour less somehow has dismal batery-life?

I have one better for you. The iPhone 6S Plus manage to have the same runtime according to PA tests as the Note 5. Consider similar specs and the addition of a larger display (though slightly), 4GB of RAm, SPen Hardware and more features than the iPhoen 6S, I would say the iPhone has dismal battery-life considering what the Note 5 is pushing. The iPhone 6S Plus should have last longer considering yet again, it has 1/4th the hardware vs the Note 5.

I am not saying you're wrong. I am only saying that you are saying the S6 has terrible battery-life, but its the iPhoen 6S which Apple "NEEDED" to make a powerpack for.

Case by case has shown the iPhone 6S doesn't last as long as the S6 in daily usage. It was heavily complained about to the point Apple made a case for it.

Many other reviewers said otherwise, the Iphone 6s has only 1 hour more standby time compared to iphone 6 (which was awful). Something has been off with Phonearena battery tests since the iPhone 6s.

EDIT: Im only talking about the 8hrs and 15 mins the iPhone 6s reached

But you know... iPhone 5C was "fail" just because it wasn't selling as good as the best selling smartphone at that time (5S), so it was second best selling smartphone which equals fail for Apple by pundits.

So yes by this measure, the new iPhone is bound to be "fail".

Well at least that's still some months away before they'd be able to fit in a 2000++mAh batt into this 7c (or 6c w/e). I wouldn't wanna have to witness yet another craptacularly designed official batt case for it.
