Meizu to hold event September 2nd, most likely to introduce new flagship Meizu MX4
Meizu has announced on Tuesday, that it will hold an event on September 2nd at 2:30pm Beijing time. The festivities are being called the "Think High" event. According to the company, "that means exploring new possibilities, embracing technological innovations and striving to be anything but ordinary. We think you will be as excited as we are with what we have created."

What Meizu will be showing off is most likely its Meizu MX4. Leaked photographs have revealed a device with extremely thin side bezels. Two versions of the MX4 are expected. A "Pro" model is believed to carry a 5.5 inch glass with an unusual 1536 x 2560 pixel resolution. Consider that the Meizu MX3 features resolution of 1080 x 1800, and you can see that such unusual resolution figures are not new to the manufacturer. The "Pro" could feature an Exynos 5433 under the hood, 3GB of RAM inside, and back and front-facing cameras of 20.7MP and 8MP respectively.

The standard model is expected to feature a 5 inch screen with resolution of 1080 x 1920, with an Exynos 5430 running the show. The same 3GB of RAM and camera specs are believed to be on this model, which could be priced at $406 USD. We should know much more, include availability, official pricing, and complete specs, following the event. For those in the states, Meizu's event will be taking place at 2:30am EDT, two weeks from today.
