Is Sony Ericsson planning to release an Android flavored Walkman phone?
Share:
The device will have a custom UI and a special audio chip. A launch could come as soon as this month or in May. So far there has been no word on where the Sony Ericsson W15 will first be released or on how much it will cost.
If this turns out to be more than just a rumor and a box, it will be a nice comeback for the Walkman name which has not been seen on a cellphone for some time.

Its just a rebranding of its failed X8 (which failed due to its laughable camera system). Its its cameras are not improved and priced right its gonna fail again Sony.

Who said X8 is a failure ? Infact i have seen more X8's than many top models of Sony Ericsson. The phone is priced quite competitively and the camera may not give top class pictures but it is definitely not laughable. Camera setback alone is not enough to title a phone as a failure.

they should have just made it an android flavored PMP instead of a phone n sold it for 100 bux. Then it would have been cool. As a phone its specs are so low that most sales reps wouldnt reccomend it unless its dirt cheap. Hell the prepay loving Tmo Comet has the same or better specs than that... lol.
does it come with a tape deck? :)

Wow... this will be exciting. Walkman capabilities combined with the Android versatility is something worth wait and watch.
