HTC Kingdom bound for Sprint?
According to the same Chinese internet source that outed the HTC Kingdom the other day, the phone is likely to launch in the U.S. via Sprint. A new picture of the phone clearly shows the carrier's brand on the front of the unit. As we reported, the device is equipped with a 4 inch qHD display. What is new is the information that the Kingdom is expected to come to market with the Qualcomm MSM7630 chipset featuring a upgraded 1.2GHz single-core processor and the Adreno 205 graphics engine-the very same package you would find under the hood of the HTC EVO Shift 4G.

The HTC Kingdom will offer both a back and front-facing camera. The 5MP shooter on back will capture video at 720p while the camera up front offers 1.3MP for video chats and self-portraits. The handset will also allow you to receive and transmit FM radio.

No word yet on when we might see this Kingdom come, but for now it appears to be another highly spec'd model for Sprint customers to consider for their next upgrade.

it should, the EVO 3D doesn't and some people still want a superphone with a keyboard.

True, i just wish Sprint would release a device that's not as large as the EVO, and doesn't turn into a brick if you throw a case one it... Epic 4G etc. Something like the Atrix.

Another clone of a clone. HTC is so boring now.

Totally agree with simplyj...."another clone of a clone, and HTC is so boring."
The only people winning with such clone launches are the OEMs (HTC, Samsung, etc.), Marketing agencies (for the ridiculous naming and related PR). The iPhone changed the market, but has now been here for many years, HTC was the best follower with EVO 4G, Incredible, & others, but now what??!! Need another breakthrough and fresh design. 4 inch models with slightly improving chips and features every 3 months are getting old!

I'm sorry to tell you this. Yes while iPhone one did change the market since then they haven't done anything to make their change it. Every iPhone since the iPhone 1 has just been a way to get people to buy a new one.

"The handset will also allow you to receive and transmit FM radio." So what I get out of this it's going to have a built-in FM modulator?

This is not just a CLONE.. Its an additional extra choice from HTC since there is so little choices for Sprint users.. Yah The EVO its awesome and the EVO Shift is too both phones for the right person. The Kingdom will be the perfect phone for all the right people as well as its in the middle between the EVO and Shift with a 4.0in Screen..

So for all those that think that the EVO is too big and the Shift is too shifty and small, then this is the right size and that is why am getting it when it comes out so I can finally replace my HTC Hero.. :)

Since they might be releasing the HTC Kingdom, they'll probably release the HTC Evo 3D next year according to reports.
