Starting today and running until Memorial Day, May 28th, longtime favorite game Grand Theft Auto III for Android is on sale for $0.99. You heard that right people, this awesome game is priced a good 80% off its normal price of $4.99 – so you shouldn’t pass up on this exciting limited offer.
To sweeten things for some Android owners out there, you can always connect a USB controller to get that full game experience – as opposed to fidgeting around with the typical on-screen controls. For a mere dollar, you’re getting one phenomenal game that’s sure going to keep you engrossed thanks to its deep gameplay.
Honestly, who knows when we’ll see the game on sale again, but seriously, you ought to go straight out and buy this game before the promotion is over. Trust us, you’re getting a whole lot of value for the money you’re paying out to snag the game.

Man, for $.99 on my Galaxy Note, im tempted. How secure is buying stuff from google play?

So I noticed when I tried to buy it that its now tied to my AT&T account rather then a seperate credit card purchase, still safe?

yeah, you'll just be billed for the game on your cellphone bill instead of having to draw the payment through a checkings account or a credit card.

Just went ahead and did it but also added a required PIN on my google play account so its not automatic purchases, better safe then sorry.
Dang, runs real well on my Galaxy Note with the settings maxed out. Now if I could just figure out how to attach a USB controller to it.....

you'll have to get a dongle. Motorola sells one for $20 it's just a male micro USB to a female USB adapter. they call it the "Camera Connection Kit" but i imagine you can find a generic one on Amazon cheaper.

see... its not bad to pay for an app "sometimes" lol

the only full price apps i normally buy are root related. However, when games go on sale, i snatch em up. I still havent played all those games from that 10 cent sale a few months ago, but at that price, who cares. I'll get around to them eventually. :)

yeah, i have a pretty crazy game collection. i haaaave..
Angry Birds Space,
Apparatus,
Bejeweled 2,
Cut the Rope,
Doodle Jump,
Draw Something,
GTA III,
Jelly Defense,
Minecraft,
Neon Zone,
Plants vs. Zombies,
Scramble with Friends,
Spirit,
Tap Tap Revenge 4,
Warp Rush,
Words with Friends and World of Goo. those are all actually games that live up to my really high expectations as i regularly go through my phone and clean out stuff that isn't worth the space anymore.

World of Goo is great.
I have most of those and a lot more. Think I have close to 400 apps backed up in titanium right now. I might have played like 2/3rds of my collection by now.. lol.
is it just me or did minecraft mobile suck?

Its improving slowly, its just like when the OG minecraft started, it'll take time to improve.
44. KingKurogiii posted on 25 May 2012, 11:28 0 0
yeah, the updates are slow but the updates do bring alot of changes that bring it closer to being like the other platform's versions. there's survival and crafting now with 0.3.0 and with 0.4.0 they're adding Zombies, Creepers, Rare Mineral Blocks and more. that'll come sometime next month i believe.

26. KingKurogiii posted on 24 May 2012, 16:14 1 0
better than spending the money only to find out your iPhone 3GS can't play a game made for the 4S. ;P

Or using Siri on a 3gs........ fragmentation what a joke.

Loved Vice City. How r the controls for this for droid?
16. kshell1 posted on 24 May 2012, 13:57 1 0
They are pretty decent if you have a large screen. Its supposed to be a dual-core game but it works on a modest 1ghz single core sgs1.
22. remixfa posted on 24 May 2012, 16:04 1 0
thats because the SGS1 has the beastly powerVR GPU which is better than the Adreno220 in the S3
34. KingKurogiii posted on 24 May 2012, 21:10 0 0
yeah, my Droid Razr has the same GPU just clocked higher. it runs without a hitch even with the video settings all the way up to max. PowerVR for life baby! ;)

Runs real good on my Galaxy Note with all visual goodies, 1717 version. I dunno how I can move the entire 500meg file over to my SD card though, its not showing me were its located

If i buy the game now cani transfer it to my galaxy S3 or i have to buy a seperate one for it?!
31. KingKurogiii posted on 24 May 2012, 20:19 2 0
it's associated with the Google Account your device is using not the actual device itself so your purchased apps are transferable to whatever compatible Android devices you have at your disposal.
41. kshell1 posted on 25 May 2012, 06:07 0 0
Unlike Apple, apple you have to continue to buy the same app every time you switch. Its basically saying hey bitch we going to make you pay twice for a game you've already purchased!
