Black Nokia Lumia 928 sold out at Verizon and Radio Shack

Black Nokia Lumia 928 sold out at Verizon and Radio Shack
With Radio Shack offering the Verizon branded Nokia Lumia 928 for just $49.99 with a signed two-year contract, it should be no surprise that the device is on back order and ships in 7 to 10 days. Meanwhile, over at Verizon, the phone is sold out even with a higher $99.99 on contract price tag.

Nokia has done a great job drumming up demand for the Nokia Lumia 928. The recent focus on low-light photography has allowed the Finnish manufacturer to produce snappers with apertures perfectly suited to take pictures in low-light without a flash. And the optical image stabilizer on the Nokia Lumia 928 camera makes it look like a video shot with the phone attached to a remote control chopper, was using a tripod when it was not. Now Verizon has a high-end Windows Phone 8 model to call its own, just as the Nokia Lumia 920 has been an exclusive for AT&T.

It should be interesting to see the breakdown of Verizon's second quarter sales once the period ends, to see if the Nokia Lumia 928 will be able to take some business away from the Apple iPhone 5 and the just released Samsung Galaxy S4. And don't forget the BlackBerry Z10.

The Black Nokia Lumia 928 ships in 7 to 10 days from Radio Shack

My country is also but now I have experience the Lumia 720 first before getting Lumia 920. It works very smooth with Super Sensitive Touch Screen, 1Ghz Dual core allows internet run quickly. the 6.7mp camera capture very very similar to my friend's S3 in Image quality (i did not compare in Low light) and most important apps are free in the app store.

I've only heard about Verizon and Rogers (Canada). International markets will get the 925 which has an improved camera and software and the new AMOLED screen, but no xenon flash.

Rogers? Really? That wouldn't make sense to me seeing how Rogers uses GSM rather than CDMA. Nokia would have to rework the phone to do that, and it wouldn't make sense for them to do that for just one carrier unless they made a deal for say 200,000 units. I would love it though if they did. I'd buy it in a second!

It's a global-ready phone, so there shouldn't be too much reprogramming involved. The Snapdragon 4+ has CDMA, GSM and LTE radios built in.

So lubba, instead of giving logical answers, no need to go off topic, cause looks like you can't and have nothing to contrubute, so you kivk off and take you're anger on TROLL, pathetic, you need help, take a shower or stop posting for few days, get you're self and act togeather to a wise, smart person. I for one wish manufacturers would stop the race to paper thin, add a couple of mm and punch up the battery. Why is Moto the only company that gets it - a 3300+ mah battery is worth the slight extra thickness?

Yes.....great price. Which reminds me....some like to say the success of Android is mostly due to the cheap .....$99 phones. So....if WP doesnt grow alot in market share in the next few years.......can we still say its price for Android? I seem to recall there are deals for WP phones too.

I really hope more $99 WP devices come out.

TROLL, instead of illegitimately attacking Nokia, why don't you apply to Nokia for a job instead? There's no hope of stopping their comeback by means of pasting fraudulent negative reviews and comments about their products and services.

Samsung has previously been busted for paying select individuals to post online comments to damage their competitors. I don't know if you work for Sammy or not, but it does speak volumes about the quality of Nokia's new Lumia Windows Phone products if Sammy and/or others are willing to go to such extremes...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMO: The Lumia 928 is a solid choice for a top-end smartphone, and those buying such a device likely won't be dissappointed with their purchase.

It doesn't matter - these new Lumia smartphones are selling well, and there is nothing that TROLL or anybody else can say that is going to prevent the comeback success of Nokia, or the success of WP OS for that matter.

It's just its annoying this nonsense posts that completely destroys a topic and any possibility of having a natural and salutary argumentation or discussion.

Anyway nice see 928 being sold out, just hope it's from high demand rather than low supply. We just cannot know that now... have to wait.

Knowing Verizon - they of the Droid and the iPhone - it was low supply. Which is not a bad thing and means they underestimated interest in Nokia.

Your own comment was deleted because I replied with something very similiar to the following statement:

"darac, are you really that naive to think that major corporate entities don't hire paid shills to attack their competitors by posting fake online user reviews, as well as other types of negative commenatry? Why? Because there are tens of billions of dollars at stake (possibly even hundreds of billions), and so it should hardly come as a shock to realize that certain leading OEM's, or their principle investors, may actively be engaged in efforts to conduct negative advertising campaigns that entail the use of illegal and/or unethical methods to influence public sentiment."

I also named a company that was recently being investigated for these types of actions: let's just say their corporate HQ doesn't reside on the North half of the Korean peninsula ;o)

What? Corporate lies and dishonesty? NO!!! Perish the thought...

I am not in defense of TROLL. I was just asking you to give weight to your accusations by answering my questions. It doesn't matter if he's really paid or anything, at least to me.
