Apple iPad Air off to much faster start than previous model
The data shows that the Apple iPad Air made up .73% of total iPads in use by the second day of its availability. At the same point in its life, the fouth-gen iPad made up .14% of the iPad universe while the iPad mini comprised .21% of the total number of iPads in use. The new iPad still has a long way to go to become the most widely used version of Apple's tablet. That honor still belongs to the graybeard called the Apple iPad 2 which still leads the way with a 38.6% share of active iPad models.
Other data from Fiksu shows that iOS 7 is now on 72% of Apple's iDevices with iOS 6 on 24.1%. In addition, the Apple iPhone 5 still leads the way with a greater than 38% share of iPhones in use today. And the numbers show that 4.7% of iPhone users are brandishing an Apple iPhone 5s while 1.7% have the Apple iPhone 5c in their hands.

ifans (aka certain type of cattle) swallow the "new" fruit in numbers...

By that I'm sure you mean millions of decent, honest, hard-working people, because those are the ones buying these.
You're an unpleasant and socially-inept person if you deride them all as "cattle."
6. ilia1986 (unregistered)
That wouldn't be me.
But it would be me who would completely agree.
Decent, honest, hard-working people can still choose poorly.
Remember that millions of decent, honest, hard-working people elected Hitler in 1939.
And yes, I just compared Apple with Hitler. No, I don't care, because a. I am a Jew myself, b. that's how strongly I feel about apple.

You just posted a video contrived by Samsung's marketing team as evidence, and YOU'RE the one calling other people s heep...?
Samsung, the company that's been implicated in many dirty business practices throughout its history...?
I'm not saying Apple hasn't exactly been the most moral company, but I wouldn't exactly say Samsung has the moral high-ground in this situation.
Also, comparing Apple with Hitler and then stating that you don't care because of how strongly you feel about it kind of confirms you as an unpleasant person...

Samsung uses Android. Android is freedom. Android doesn't limit you nearly as much as iOS does. Samsung doesn't sue others over patented shapes or unlock methods. Samsung supports microSD and removable battery.
Need I continue?

The ONLY valid point you made is the "suing other people over rectangles" point.
Everything else is a matter of consumer preference. If you think that those constitute an actual moral conflict then you better look in a mirror real fast.
Who else can you think of in history of that ascribed right-and-wrong to arbitrary matters such as racial-heritage, intelligence, and sexual-orientation...?

If you don't think that limiting consumers how to use their products which they bought in hard-earned cash is a moral issue, I really pity you..
Not to mention that a consumer - an individual who prefers to be limited - is rather sad in itself.
You don't like to tweak your android phone? Want to use it just like you use an iphone? Go ahead! Nothing prevents you from doing that. You still got apps on your home screen. But for all those who do - Android is there.

Yeah, I hate steak restaurants that don't offer candy canes as an entree too, but I wouldn't call them morally-irresponsible for not giving me the choice.
I really pity you for investing so much of your heart into this, I really do. This is an issue of consumer choice, nothing more. People buy into Apple for their goods and services, people buy into Android for their goods and services. Their goods and services differ from one another. GET OVER IT.

ppl like you bring down the level of android
14. ilia1986 (unregistered)
And how is that? By stating personal opinions mixed with facts? Or perhaps as rf1975 said because I am a Jew?
18. Commentator (Posts: 2293; Member since: 16 Aug 2011)
He said "[you] SAID that [you] are a Jew." There's a big difference in being a Jew and using the fact that you are a Jew as some kind of trump card.

Because you are an incompetent uneducated ignorant baboon rabbling about how holy Android is based on personal beliefs that are composed of arrogance and fanboyism.

what's so funny last year ilia1986 couldn't WAIT to get his new shiney android device and truly become an android advocate...
now-a-days his own android family doesn't respect him.

...as opposed to the fans of the companies, that too would like THEIR fans to swallow in the same quantities as ifans.
7. ilia1986 (unregistered)
Except the other companies don't treat you like an imbecile by limiting what you can do with your device nearly as much, not to mention not going apesh!t about suing the competition over patented rounded rectangles..
15. alterecho (Posts: 1054; Member since: 23 Feb 2012)
And thats stopping other companies from wanting to emulate Apple's success?
Some People chose Apple's model and they buy their product. Some people don't and choose other platforms. Their option, their choice, their freedom to choose.
Funny, how Apple haters complain about lack of freedom and choice in Apple's ecosystem, and yet want everyone to buy ONLY Android. Shows Android may be open, but their supporters are not.

I would gladly see people use Ubuntu or any other Linux distro on their mobile devices. Why? Because a phone running Ubuntu and a phone running Android can still share almost anything between them! Why? Because they are Linux devices at their very core, not bogged down, limited and stripped-down apple iproducts.
21. alterecho (Posts: 1054; Member since: 23 Feb 2012)
"I would gladly see"
Others should care whether you see 'gladly' or sadly?
"Why? Because a phone running Ubuntu and a phone running Android can still share almost anything between them"
Back to square one with focus on Android, i see.
Narrow mindedness proved yet again. You should start thinking of freedom from a broader scope.

Good, setting the high-end standard only helped competition up their game. Haters gonna hate, fanboys gonna... fan? Still, the iPad Air has the weight of a large-screen tablet that we always wanted, and uncompromising speed and build quality. Nice one Apple!
5. tech2 (Posts: 1766; Member since: 26 Oct 2012)
Agreed. I am a big Android fan but I'll have to agree on this.
iPad Air may not be the most innovative product but it certainly is the most perfected one.
32. joey_sfb (Posts: 2545; Member since: 29 Mar 2012)
Actually they could still slim down the iPad Air bezel.
I used to think that Note 2 bezel is thin till Note 3 came along.

To the guy who compared hitler to apple... someone needs a hug, a life and a therapist.

Exactly!!! They take this waaay to serious.
29. darkvadervip (Posts: 289; Member since: 08 Dec 2010)
I'm curious! If android only had just one google phone and one tablet would it be a serious contender towards apple.

Stick to the subject at hand, and everyone will be ok. The problems is, you guys bring your dumb, subjective opinions into the mix, and end up hijacking the the discussion.
