Amber update announced for Nokia Lumia smartphones, to bring fancy camera features and FM Radio

So, the Nokia Lumia 925 just got announced officially – a slimmer, lighter successor to the Lumia 920 relying heavily on its advanced camera features to stand out. Complementing the smartphone's 8.7MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilization is the new Nokia Smart Camera application, which adds awesome features, effects, and shooting modes. These include a Best Shot feature that picks the best of 10 consecutive frames, Action Shot superimposing different frames on top of each other, and Motion Blur shot to add dynamic look to the picture.

The good news for everyone who currently owns a Lumia is that the Nokia Smart Camera app will not be a Nokia Lumia 925 exclusive. All of the Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8 will get the application this summer as part of the so-called Lumia Amber update. The new software will enable the FM radio feature for all these WP8 Lumia handsets.

The Lumia Amber update by Nokia is expected to roll out in July. Details as to what other features the new software will bring are scarce, but it won't be surprising if additional goodies are included in the pack.

Why do people like you comment like dumb. A few weeks back there was a poll conducted to know about people's preference regarding the usage of FM radio. Many were complaining that WP doesn't have FM functionality. Now here's a person who comments as if he's a new-born that he doesn't know what's happening around :D

For your info, companies think that people don't use FM radio nowadays (maybe it's true in US but not in all the countries) and that's why it was disabled in the Lumia devices. But actually there was a demand for it and Nokia is enabling it.

depends on the galaxy...
S4 vs L925 or L928 is a tough call
I'd have the S4 edge a victory with IR and removable storage

RTFA: all WP8 Lumias.

Though Verizon is crummy on updates so the 928 will probably get it around Christmas

verizon is bad with updates, but with wp, updates either come from the manufacturer or microsoft. its not android, so it`ll be timely. and thats not a shot at android., just a note that android updates are slower ecause they go through several hands. im not badmouthing.

Some website say that the lumia 620 do not support FM radio. But you say nothing of that on your website. My question is now: Do the Lumia 620 support FM Radio? Yes or No?
