Amazon is selling the Nokia Lumia 920 for $49.99 on contract
This is the time of the year when pricing becomes extremely competitive and a price that you thought was low can get even lower. We've already seen some leaks of Black Friday deals and we know that many of you are waiting for this coming Friday to pick up a Samsung Galaxy S III on the cheap, or a free HTC One X. We have no idea when Amazon's deal ends, but we do know that it is $50 less than AT&T's subsidized price for the phone.

this a great price for a ground breaking smart phone. it's already a sell out in China and Germany and Australia they are intelligent people and know a good thing when they see it. I am a windows smart phone Fan and will buy one myself. If Nokia is brave and Bold enough .and put Android Jelly bean in a smart phone body with a high def gorilla glass screen and the pure vue camera and all the Electronics of of the 920 in on the market place' Nokia would simply crush the life out of other Android smart phone makers and have the top Windows smart phones on the market and the top Android smart phone on the market and no financial group would dare to say that Nokia is a loser smart phone manufacturer and Nokia stock would go through the roof. WOW folks it's true Nokia has the smart phone TECJNOLOGY to save themselves and once again take over the smart phone market the question do they have the will to do it!

keep on dreaming. android is still the future...
do you even wonder why it can be soldout ?? its a same sad song as lumia 800, lumia 900 (they also said it was soldout back then).. if you sell probably only up to 1k units on each country, of course its possible for lumia to be soldout.

7thspaceman didn't say anything that is against Android, he said that Nokia should give Android a shot, bring all the goods of the Nokia Lumia 920 (pure view, puremotion HD+, wireless charging.... etc.) into a phone having the Android OS, which will make Nokia, on top of Windows Phone (which already is), and Android markets.

The thing is that Elop is sucking up to Stevenson to not commit with any other os but windows, they even got rid of MeeGo and stopped further support for symbian, so no Android until Elop gets kicked out of office

The thing about being sold out is that its of no use unless the units sold are substantial ones. We need figures and not statements that device 'X' from manufacturer 'Y' has sold out in region 'Z'. It makes no sense if inventory/stock is low and its a sell out. Nokia is awarding too many sugar candies to markets like US where their share is basically peanuts, instead they and RIM (after launch of BB10 devices) should focus on markets like India, MEA, etc where their share is already high and also put in efforts to capture the North American market.

That's a nice price. I only wish WP had gone a bit more the Android way, and less the Apple route. I actually liked WinMo, and was looking forward to the new MS entry. Until i found out the details.

I would say it's getting closer to Android with each update. Bluetooth file transfer, more customization options, same guts and screen sizes and technologies. IOS is falling more and more behind. Android and WP will be a duopoly, with bada, Blackberry, and maybe a couple others fighting for third

id say if wp8 implement symbian more then android. besides you will have all the fandroids saying look android had it first there copying which isnt the case.
give symbian levels of functionality with the clean fresh smooth ui of wp8 and you should be on to a winner

At my Place it has i'm tell you the truth....my experience...using it.....im a computer Graphic designer....
17. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2346; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
you been or infact not been a computer graphics designer has no relevance. infact it goes against you becuase you need a computer to run those high end software programs i.e windows or a mac
your opinion and a biased unreal one at that doesnt equal truth
no place has android replaced windows in the pc/laptop market. neither has chromebooks
so please enlighten me how it has and how you can make this unreal statement

really?? am a Graphic Designer too, and i ensure that u can't get rid of ur Windows pc for a chromebook, at this moment, i guess none of the programs (Adobe Creative Suites, Corel Draw... etc) supports the Google Chrome OS. and i admit that the Macs are the best for Graphic Designers.
and dude ur fanboyism has went off the limits, ok i respect Google and what they are doing, but u gotta chill...
18. Mr.Mr.Upgrade (Posts: 373; Member since: 30 Aug 2011)
U can run the same programs on android or Mac....plain and simple windows is down
19. chaoticrazor (Posts: 2346; Member since: 28 Aug 2012)
lmfao so you believe that photoshop software for android matches that of windows.....your no designer
windows is still on top of android as its a full os capable of more then android, not saying android isnt good before the fandroids start getting defensive but to compare it to windows 8 say is a joke
your a fanboy too, getting so many fanboys on here. well you continue your life hating for no reason
21. asseek (Posts: 164; Member since: 12 Sep 2012)
for the Mac i agree u, but for Android? please be more realistic man, and if ur talking about laptops or desktops, it's called Chrome OS just for your informations.
Android OS = Mobile OS
Chrome OS = Laptops and Desktops OS (if they released Desktops)
and tell how u're going to do ur work on ur beloved Android ?
23. MC1123 (Posts: 1210; Member since: 12 Nov 2012)
Chorome OS isnt even a full fledge loptop/desktop platform! so it is not compatible to windows or macs!
google really need to invest in that area too! they need t merge android and chrome and add a little juice to it, like adding PURE linux so that it work just like windows, and can run windows apps (wine, enyone?)
27. asseek (Posts: 164; Member since: 12 Sep 2012)
check my comment i wrote before, i didn't say it's a full fledge laptop/desktop OS, here i was just telling him the different OSes of Google and where they are being used. maybe one day Google will be able to release a full fledge OS, for the mean time they're not. Google is working hard and that's a good thing.
