While we have been getting invitations for a
Sony event at the IFA expo next week, nobody could say for sure if the Xperia Z5 would indeed make a cameo so soon after the
Z4/
Z3+ release. While we wait, a placeholder Sony Georgia Facebook account has posted a couple of colorful cases, claimed to be for the Z5, hinting that the phone will likely keep the general shape and appearance of Sony's flagship Z-series, you can take a look at them below.
This account is also claiming that there will be three new phones from Sony at IFA - a Z5 with 1080p display, a Z5 Compact with a 4.6" 720p panel, and a Z5 Prime with a 5.5" 2160p UltraHD display. It also says that Sony will outfit the three phones with a 20 MP+ camera with 0.1s autofocus, f/1.8 aperture, and phase detection autofocus, indicating the newest
IMX230 sensor from Sony will be present. While the IMX230 part is not hard to believe for the next Sony flagship (the
Xperia M5 has it, after all), the Z5 Prime tip is most likely a hoax.
