Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with LTE-A features Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU, 13MP rear snapper
Back in June, SK-Telecom launched the first LTE-A network and with it, the Samsung Galaxy S4 with LTE-A was born. Unlike the international version of the phone, the Galaxy S4 with LTE-A is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. And of course, it runs on LTE-A which means top speeds for now around the 150Mbps mark.

Since not every Samsung Galaxy S4 owner can maintain a firm grip on the device, Samsung devised the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active which offers protection against drops. It also protects your phone from water and from dust thanks to its IP67 certification. The handset can withstand being submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Now, a version of the Galaxy S4 Active has been made available for those using SK-Telecom's LTE-A pipeline. Called the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with LTE-A, this phone is also updated with a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, as opposed to the 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 powering the AT&T version of the device. And of course, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with LTE-A has LTE-A connectivity, hence its name. The 8MP rear snapper and 16GB of native storage found on the original AT&T Galaxy S4 Active is now bumped to 13MP, and 32GB respectively. Despite all of this updating, the weight of the phone has dropped from 151 grams to 147 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active with LTE-A is an SK-Telecom exclusive in Korea.
