Google's Best with AI Onboard

Phone owned for less than a month

The Google Pixel 10 Pro is a great phone for those who love Google phones a clean Android build or both in one quality device. This phone brings to life the promise of what AI can do for users in a day-to-day scenario. I genuinely appreciate being in a text conversation, agreeing to a date and time for dinner, and receiving a prompt to add the event to my calendar right there in the conversation. The phone also offers a level of customization greater than any prior Pixel phone! The build is also solid. The phone feels sturdy in your hand while also sporting a texture that feels premium.

The key drawbacks to this version of Pixel fall into the same categories as previous Pixels. The processor is simply not as good as it should be for a phone priced at the same level as other flagship phones. This is typically not a problem for standard use, but one area where I experience the slow down often is when I attempt to take rapid fire photos. The camera becomes unresponsive or slow. Also, the entry level Pixel 10 Pro storage is just too low! Google has no good reason to continue to offer up phones with both a subpar processor and subpar storage... pick one or the other, not both!

To be honest, I am a Pixel "homer" as I've had one since the Pixel 4. My advice, if you have a Pixel 9 Pro and love it the only reason to upgrade is to receive an additional year of Gemini AI for free (if you log in to Google 1 I believe there is still an offer out there giving Pixel 9 Pro owners a free year so this may not even be a good reason to upgrade). If Google offers more entry level storage in next year's 11 series and/or a better processor I'm likely going to be right back here and hopefully offering a better review.
