Walmart reveals probably the best Black Friday deals on the iPhone XS, XR, iPhone 8, and iPhone X
The world’s largest retailer may have allowed arch-rival Target to capture the spotlight with an early reveal of Black Friday deals, but now Walmart is here to steal the limelight back.

Starting online at 10 PM ET on November 21, and expanding to brick and mortar stores the following day at 6 PM, all the hottest smartphones in the US are getting massive discounts. Technically, you’re not looking at upfront savings, of course, but we can probably all agree a free $400 gift card beats the heck out of a modest outright markdown.

It’s going to be easy to score that coupon too, as all you need to do is buy an iPhone 8, 8 Plus, or iPhone X with a Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T device payment plan. The same type of deal will be offered for the iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR, as well as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9, S9, S9+, Galaxy S8, and S8+, although the value of the complimentary gift card is downgraded to “only” $300.

In contrast, Target merely plans to hand out gratis $150 gift cards with qualified iPhone X, 8, and 8 Plus activations, while the iPhone XS and XS Max will be sold alongside $250 vouchers. Oh, and Walmart’s bitter opponent to the US and global retail crowns has nothing in the pipeline for iPhone XR shoppers/bargain hunters.

Bizarrely enough, Walmart’s other mobile tech Black Friday 2018 promotions look fairly underwhelming, including a $299 iPhone 6s Plus and $199 Samsung Galaxy S7 with prepaid Straight Talk service, a $79 Walmart Family Mobile iPhone SE, and a $99 iPhone 6 for Straight Talk or Total Wireless use.

We’re also expecting a number of retailers to match Walmart’s $99 Google Home Hub, $25 Google Home Mini, $249 iPad (6th generation), and $149 Fitbit Versa offers. But the Google Home Mini + Chromecast bundle looks special, fetching a measly grand total of $45 with $15 Vudu credit thrown in at no extra cost. All in all, there’s probably something for everyone on Walmart’s lengthy list of Black Friday 2018 deals.
