Visible, Visible+ and Visible+ Pro are all plans under Verizon's own prepaid brand, which is sold online and through Best Buy, and runs on Verizon's network. The base Visible has been around since the brand launched in 2018, but the Visible+ Pro plan launched in April of 2025, the same day that Visible+ was upgraded to offer unlimited premium data.
Since it runs exclusively on the Verizon network, the coverage is pretty much the same as a Verizon postpaid plan. However, there is a catch, and that is that the base Visible plan's data can slow down significantly when towers are busy. Visible+ and Visible+ Pro, though, don't have slowdowns.
Visible's plans can be broken down to be better suited for the below types of users:
Visible base plan works best for those who have a tight budget and don't use a lot of data. Just $25 gets you in.
Visible+ works best for those who want Verizon network speeds without paying postpaid plan prices.
Visible+ Pro is best for hotspot-heavy users, those who like to stream content in 4K and those who are international callers.

Visible
The base Visible plan costs $25 a month or $275 a year and includes:
Recommended For You
Unlimited talk, text and data on Verizon's 5G and 4G LTE networks (not Ultra Wideband).
Video streaming at 480p.
Unlimited hotspot at up to 5Mbps speeds.
Unlimited talk and text to Mexico and Canada.
Spam and robocall blocking.
Free 2-day shipping when you order anything from their shop, such as a phone or a physical SIM card.
Visible+
The Visible+ plan costs $35 a month or $375 a year and includes:
Unlimited premium data on 5G Ultra Wideband plus premium data on 5G/LTE.
Video streaming at up to 1080p on Ultra Wideband. If you are on regular 5G/LTE, streaming is capped at 720p.
Unlimited hotspot at up to 10Mbps, which is twice what the base plan offers.
Unlimited talk, text and data while traveling in Canada and Mexico. However, once you use 2GB per day, data will slow to 3G.
1 Global Pass day a month (or 12 passes a year if you pay annually).
Free overnight shipping from the Visible shop.
Smartwatch line for an additional $10 a month.
Visible+ Pro
The Visible+ Pro plan costs $45 a month or $450 a year and includes:
The same premium data as Visible+.
Video streaming up to 4K on Ultra Wideband and 1080p on regular 5G/LTE.
Unlimited hotspot at up to 15Mbps, which is three times what the base plan offers.
Up to 500 minutes a month of calling to over 85 countries and unlimited texting to over 200 countries.
2 Global Pass days a month (or 24 passes a year if you pay annually).
Included smartwatch line.
Visible fees, taxes and limits
One benefit I appreciate from Visible is the fact that taxes are already included in the monthly price, and there are no monthly provider fees, no one-time fees and no early termination fees.
Deprioritization is an issue, though, for the base Visible plan, as data can become slower when the network is busy. This isn't a problem on the Visible+ and Visible+ Pro plans as premium data is not subject to these limits.
Throttling only affects the heaviest users, who make up the top 0.5% of Visible customers that go over 450GB in a month. For those users, speeds can drop to 1.5Mbps and remain that way for the rest of the billing month, which isn't too bad if you're okay with just messaging and browsing.
Video streaming quality depends on your plan as noted above, with 480p set as the default for all the plans with the option to raise it in account settings.
There is no auto-pay discount. What you see is what you get with Visible, so the listed price for your plan is exactly what you will pay. This is a prepaid plan though, so you do pay ahead for each cycle.
Hotspot rules vary depending on the plan, but all include a speed cap at all times. That said, speeds are much better if you have only one device connected, but once you try to connect more, they will all share the cap.
Visible coverage, network and reliability
Audience sentiment is mostly positive for Visible with Trustpilot giving it a 4.1 out of 5 stars from 9,112 reviews, though 19% of them give it a one-star rating. Most users praise the price, easy switching and the reliable service. Complaints include the difficulty in reaching a live person, some applied promos being reversed, and dead zones in rural areas.
Earlier this year, we covered a Verizon outage that went on for close to 10 hours where calls, texts and data were down. To make good, Visible offered the affected users a $5 credit toward their bill, unlike Verizon, which credited its users with $20.
Switching from another carrier, or switching your eSIM from one device to the other, is very easy and all done from the Visible app. If you are undecided and want to try out the carrier first, you can get a 15-day trial on the phone you already have before having to port your number.
Though Visible doesn't have an official family plan, it does have its own take on it with its Inner Circle feature. An Inner Circle is a group of up to 7 Visible members. Those that form a circle and are in the Visible+ or Visible+ Pro monthly plans get a $5 a month credit off their plan.
Inner Circle participants keep their own account and have the option to pay for each other. They can also leave the circle at any time. It should be noted that this discount doesn't stack with other service promos. You only get to keep the bigger credit of the two.
Lastly, with Visible you can either bring your own phone or you can buy one directly from them. There is no credit or penalty for bringing your phone and the eSIM activation is done solely through the app.
What the competition is doing
Visible's rival plans are currently the following:
Straight Talk.
Total Wireless.
US Mobile Unlimited Premium.
Mint Mobile Unlimited.
Straight Talk is a Verizon-owned carrier with plans sold mainly through Walmart. Plans are Silver Unlimited ($45 a month), Gold ($55 a month) and Platinum ($65 a month), which includes unlimited premium data and hotspot. Its pros include perks and international roaming, while the cons are that the plans are much pricier than Visible+ for premium data.
Total Wireless is also a Verizon-owned carrier. Plans include MAX 5G BYO for $25 a month with auto-pay and ALL ACCESS for $60 a month with premium hotspot and Disney+. The carrier also offers a 5-year price guarantee for new subscribers and has the cheapest priority data if you bring your own phone. However, all the listed plan prices need auto-pay, otherwise you will have to pay $5 more.
US Mobile Unlimited Premium costs $44 a month or $20 a month for 6 months if you score a promo for porting in your number. It offers unlimited priority data and hotspot, as well as the peace of mind that taxes are included in the price. A big pro for this plan is that you have the option to pick your network, but the full price is very close to Visible+ Pro's.
Mint Mobile Unlimited runs on the T-Mobile network and costs $30 a month on a 12-month plan that you have to pay $360 up front for, although right now there's a promo that brings the price down to $10 a month for six months. Speeds on this plan slow down when busy after 50GB has been used. It is cheaper, which is a pro, but taxes and fees are extra and you do have to pay up front.
Out of all of these, it appears that Visible+ has the best value if you happen to catch a good promo, like the current 5OFF5 which brings the price down to $30 a month. Second choice would be Total Wireless' MAX 5G BYO if you already own an unlocked phone. Straight Talk is to be skipped unless you regularly shop at Walmart and want the perks.
The verdict on Visible's plans
Pros:
Visible will cost you $25 for the base plan, $35 for Visible+ and $45 for Visible+ Pro. It runs off the Verizon network with taxes and fees included in the price.
You get unlimited premium data on the Visible+ and Pro, with unlimited hotspot included in all 3 plans.
It's also very easy to switch and set up your eSIM either on a new or swapped device.
Cons:
Visible's base plan does slow you down when the nearby towers are busy and 480p video is a huge bummer.
It's hard to reach a live person to talk to when you have a problem.
Hotspot speeds are capped at 5-15Mbps.
If you decide to go with Visible, these are the three short facts you should know about each one of their plans: Visible+ is for most people as it offers the best value and balance. The base Visible plan is for budget-conscious folks who don't use a lot of data and Visible+ Pro is for those who need a beefy hotspot, 4K video streaming, international calling and smartwatch connectivity.
In my short time using Visible I found the plan to be convenient and easy to manage. I would happily go back to it if the pricing made sense for me, as I'm always looking for the best deal out there.
Get a free Galaxy A17 with Straight Talk. To claim this deal, you need to pair the phone with activation on a Silver Unlimited Plan or higher. This tier costs $45 per month. Offer valid through 01/10/27 while supplies last online.
