Samsung introduces new Pokemon-themed Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro earbuds

With each passing day we’re getting closer to Samsung’s big Unpacked event slated for later next month. We’re getting new Galaxy phones and, perhaps, other devices like a new smartwatch and new earbuds. Until then, Samsung fans in select countries should ready their wallets as the South Korean giant has just announced new Pokemon-themed Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro earbuds.

These new limited-edition earbuds follow in the footsteps of the popular (according to Samsung) Poke Ball Galaxy Buds, which made it to market back in May. Apparently, Samsung wanted to give Pokemon fans another chance to grab a pair of crossover earbuds featuring their favorite game.

The newly introduced Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro come with a Pokemon-themed case in the form of iconic Pokemon like Ditto, Jigglypuff, and Snorlax. The retail package also contains stickers with various Pokemon.

Now, the bad news is these will only be available in South Korea initially. Starting June 27, customers can purchase the new Pokemon-themed Galaxy Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro for 129,000 won ($100) and 199,000 won ($155), respectively.

According to Samsung, these limited-edition Pokemon earbuds are more attractive than the previous package, which means they will probably sell in a matter of a few hours just like the Poke Ball Galaxy Buds. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that these will be available for purchase in other countries, although not entirely impossible.
