The Google Pixel 11 Pro, while a pretty decent flagship smartphone, isn’t exactly a great leap forward. I like the HiLight feature, admittedly, but our Google Pixel 11 Pro review found the phone’s performance still lacking and leaving a lot to be desired.
So we turned to you to find out what aspect of the Pixel 11 Pro bothers you the most. Turns out, having to pay more for less doesn’t sit right with people.
The Pixel 11 Pro is lacking
In a recent poll, we asked you what precisely bothered you the most when it comes to the Google Pixel 11 Pro. Most of you, almost 43 percent of the voters, said that it was the drop in RAM. The Pixel 11 Pro went from the 16 GB on the Pixel 10 Pro down to only 12 GB this year.
Despite the obvious downgrade, the Pixel 11 Pro still saw a price increase of $100. This, for almost 32 percent of respondents, was the most unacceptable aspect of the phone. It’s almost like you’re paying more for less.
Meanwhile, almost 13 percent of voters said that the removal of the infrared temperature sensor from the phone in lieu of the new HiLight LED was unacceptable. While I’m personally a fan of HiLight and think that it’s a much more useful addition than a thermometer that I would never use, the latter was still a unique feature and many people find HiLight to be a gimmick that doesn’t do much.

Lastly, a little under 13 percent of you said that the new modem inside the Pixel 11 Pro makes the phone worth it. The new modem, which replaced the Exynos modems used previously, boasts much better signal strength, reliability, and network speeds.

It’s difficult to go back to inferior specs
I understand why so many of you hate the drop from 16 GB of RAM to 12 GB this year. Seeing a number go down in the specs sheet hurts, having to endure a higher price regardless of that hurts even more.
There are a lot of problems that the Pixel phones keep running into because of which I try to steer clear of them. Nevertheless, we now know what Google shouldn’t do with the Pixel 12 series so that it can win back some goodwill from its users.
