Don't expect you'll be able to afford the Galaxy Z Flip 8 after the prices of every single upcoming Samsung product were revealed by one of the most trustworthy mobile tech leakers left in business? Not to worry, as there's plenty of fish left in the (foldable smartphone) sea, and some of them can already be had at reasonable prices with no strings attached.

The Motorola Razr+ (2026), for instance, was... certainly not very affordable at launch, but after less than two months of US availability, Amazon has done the inevitable, slashing a substantial 160 bucks off the handset's arguably excessive $1,099.99 list price.

Disappointingly powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset but impressively equipped with two large screens, two great rear-facing cameras, and a hefty battery capable of charging at blazing fast rates, the recently released Razr Plus (2026) is on sale at its first substantial discount with no special requirements.

The somewhat awkward middle brother of the budget-friendly Razr (2026) and the state-of-the-art (but also far too costly) Razr Ultra (2026) is still not a total bargain and an absolute must-buy for foldable fans and Android power users in general, especially if you consider the deeply discounted Razr Ultra (2025) as well.

But while the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor inside the Razr Plus (2026) is a bit underwhelming, the massive 6.9 and 4-inch AMOLED screens with 165Hz refresh rate technology, dual 50MP rear-facing camera system, and 4,500mAh battery capable of charging at up to 45W wired and 15W wireless speeds make the overall value proposition just right... at an unprecedented $160 discount.

Do I think Amazon is going to improve this deal further in the near future? I obviously can't know that for sure, but I'd certainly be surprised. Motorola, on the other hand, might well offer an even heftier discount (and maybe a cool freebie too) through its official US website, so be sure to keep an eye on that if you manage to resist a purchase right now.

By the way, it has to be said that the Motorola Razr+ (2026) is at a bit of a disadvantage compared to last year's Galaxy Z Flip 7 in terms of processing power, holding however important advantages in the battery capacity, charging speed, and camera performance departments to look like an overall better deal for foldable buyers who aren't necessarily devoted to Samsung.
