iPad (A16) is the shiniest pebble for budget buyers, now $50 off at Amazon

Amazon Prime Day in October came and went, but if you're looking for an everyday iPad, you can still get it with its Prime Day discount. The budget iPad (A16) got a nice $50 price cut during the sales event, but you can still get it for less than $400.

Although I've seen the model on sale multiple times at Amazon this year, discounts of over $50 are as rare as a unicorn. So, if you're after an everyday iPad that seamlessly connects with your other Apple devices, now's the time to grab this one.

• By the way, the Galaxy Tab S11 is now $340 off at Amazon and could be the perfect alternative for Android fans.

While the iPad (A16) doesn't rival the most powerful Apple tablets, it's not intended as an iPad Pro competitor. Simply put, this device is best suited for budget-conscious fans of the brand who don't mind making a few compromises.

For instance, the iPad (A16) doesn't feature a laminated display. This isn't a dealbreaker if you ask me, but it's worth noting that it feels a bit "hollow" compared to other iPads. Still, for the most part, the 11-inch screen gives you good-looking colors and an enjoyable visual experience.

Despite its budget-friendly tag, this model features a very capable processor. Its A16 silicon handles daily tasks without breaking a sweat and even has some potential for multitasking. Plus, compared to budget Android tablets, this model has much more headroom for heavier use.

If you're still not convinced that this is the right tablet for your daily needs, check out our full iPad (A16) review for more details. But if you've been eyeing it for some time, waiting for the price to drop, now's your chance. Act fast as this Amazon deal may disappear before you know it.
