Deal: The Apple iPhone 7 is free at AT&T
Not long after offering its customers the chance to get a free iPhone 6s, AT&T now has an even better deal aimed at Apple fans, this time throwing in a newer iPhone model in the mix. The second largest US mobile carrier is allowing you to buy an iPhone 7 32 GB (new, not refurbished) for $0, as long as certain conditions are met.

Normally, an iPhone 7 32 GB costs $449 - not just at AT&T, but also at Apple. In order to get the handset for free from AT&T, a new line of service is required. The line must remain active on AT&T Next (for 30 months) or AT&T Next Every Year (for 24 months) and you will have to pay for voice and data - minimum $50 per month. AT&T will offer a $449 discount divided into monthly bill credits (starting within 3 bills), so your iPhone 7 32 GB will be free only after 24 months on AT&T Next Every Year, or 30 months on AT&T Next.

Originally released in September 2016, the iPhone 7 is now over 2 years old, and yet it remains a capable smartphone that's quite speedy (thanks to Apple's A10 Fusion processor). You're also getting dust and water resistance, a good 12 MP camera with 4K video recording, and the promise of regular software updates for years to come. Granted, the 4.7-inch display and the large bezels of the iPhone 7 appear outdated in 2019, but customers who are on a budget probably don't care too much about that.

This deal is available at AT&T online only and for a limited time, and includes all iPhone 7 32 GB color variants: Black, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold. In case you're wondering, the iPhone 7 128 GB and the larger, more expensive iPhone 7 Plus are excluded from the offer.
