iPhone 6 pre-orders
So, you want to buy yourself a brand new iPhone? Then get your credit card ready as the Apple Store has just started accepting pre-orders for both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. The phones are available in all color and capacity options, with service from any major US carrier you pick, and if you hurry, you might even get yours shipped on time.

In terms of pricing, the figures won't really surprise anyone. The 16GB iPhone 6 is priced at $199 on a 2-year contract with AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon, while the 64GB and the 128GB models cost $299 and $399 respectively. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, $299 gets you a 16GB model, while the 64GB and the 128GB variants cost $399 and $499 with a 2-year contract. The T-Mobile iPhone 6 is available contract-free at a price of $649, while the 64GB and 128GB models cost $749 and $849 respectively. For an iPhone 6 Plus, you'll have to pay $100 extra.

As far as shipping time goes, iPhone 6 orders are expected to be delivered on September 19, which is a week away from today. If you want to own the iPhone 6 Plus, however, you'll have to sit tight for longer. As of this writing, the 16GB model is expected to ship in 7 to 10 business days, while the 64- and 128-gigabyte AT&T models are expected to be available in 3-4 weeks. And demand is projected to grow even further.
