While Google still has a ways to go before catching up to Amazon in terms of both global and US smart speaker shipments, one market report from a few months back found the search giant's entry-level model was outselling every single Echo variant. That may have something to do with how easy it is nowadays to score Google Home Mini units free of charge, either bundled with other hardware products or even premium subscriptions to music streaming platforms and cloud storage services.
