Best Buy has a slew of refurbished phones on sale today only, Galaxy S9 and Pixel 2 XL included
If you’re in the market for a new phone, but you’re not adamant on it being brand-new, unused and untouched, Best Buy has quite a few interesting certified refurbished “deals of the day.”

These are all good for 24 hours only, although you may need to be even more expeditious than that, as four devices are already sold out at the time of this writing. You’ll probably not want to miss out on the chance to purchase a Verizon-locked Samsung Galaxy S9+ for $649.99 in Lilac Purple, Midnight Black, Coral Blue, or the Best Buy-exclusive Sunrise Gold color option.

Meanwhile, the 64GB Pixel 2 XL for Verizon that Google is now selling at $699 brand-new goes for a full $100 less at Best Buy in “certified refurbished” condition. Just keep in mind the $599.99 stock Android handset is only available in black right now.

Next up, you have the non-Plus Verizon Galaxy S9 priced at $549.99 after a $242 markdown in your choice of Coral Blue, Lilac Purple, Midnight Black, or Sunrise Gold paint jobs.

If you want something truly affordable, the aging but respectable Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact costs $287.99 with 32GB internal storage in an unlocked black variant. Brand-new, the diminutive 2017 powerhouse still fetches $400 and up on Amazon, so Best Buy’s discount is certainly significant.

The same goes for the unlocked Moto G5S Plus, sold by Motorola for $280, but marked down to $171 as part of Best Buy’s Geek Squad program. The LG Q6 might also be worth a chance at $160, while the Sony Xperia L2 is probably not good enough for $140.

In case you’re wondering, all these phones (and a few more) should look and work like new, having been “thoroughly, painstakingly and lovingly tested” by a professional team of engineers. They also come with 90-day warranties and Best Buy’s standard Return & Exchange promise.
