ZTE is the second largest non-contract smartphone supplier in the good 'ole U.S. of A. Today, the company announced that the ZTE Tempo is now available from pre-paid carrier Boost Mobile for the price of $69.99. A document disseminated to Boost's reps says that the handset takes only 30-seconds to be sold. Start your stopwatch now!

The ZTE Tempo carries a 4.5-inch TFT display, which is "convenient for the active lifestyle," says the manufacturer. The 2200mAh battery allows you to talk and text all day without needing a power outlet, notes ZTE. What is unsaid is that those who do more than just text and talk with the phone, will probably need to go outlet hunting by late afternoon every day. The Snapdragon 210 chipset is under the hood, carrying a quad-core 1.1GHz CPU and the Adreno 304 GPU. 1GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of flash memory. A 32GB capacity microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage.

A 5MP camera adorns the back of the unit, and a 2MP front-facing snapper takes selfies and handles video chats. Those using certain Boost plans that support roaming in Mexico will be able to use their ZTE Tempo in that country. Are you sold yet? Suppose we told you that Android 6.0 is pre-installed.

ZTE says that the Tempo provides "Modern Technology for an Old School price." The handset is offered in an intensive nature blue shell, and is compatible with Boost's $50 a month Unhook'd plan. This comes with unlimited talk, text and data including unlimited video (streaming at 480p, or DVD resolution) and unlimited music (streaming at 500Kbps).
