YotaPhone 2 Indiegogo campaign kicks off: you can buy the dual-screen smartphone for $525
A couple of months ago, we told you that the YotaPhone 2 would be launched in the US via an Indiegogo campaign. While the campaign was supposed to start in April, it's only now that it's kicking off. The good news is that the new smartphone can be shipped not just to North America, but almost anywhere else in the world, starting August.

Right now - for 48 hours only - you can order the YotaPhone 2 for as low as $525 plus shipping (free protective bumper case included). That's $75 less than the device's regular price ($600).The YotaPhone 2 recently started receiving an update to Android Lollipop, so that's what it should be running in August when it ships to customers who are buying the handset via Indiegogo.

As you may already know, the YotaPhone 2 features two displays: a main 5-inch 1080p one, and a 4.7-inch e-ink, 540 x 960 pixels one on the back. The latter is an always-on touchscreen display that enables you to use the handset for up to 3 days on a single charge, or, if you just want to "e-read", you can do it for up to 100 hours. Other features include a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor (not the newest chipset around, but still powerful), LTE, an 8 MP rear camera, 2 MP front-facing camera, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal memory. Check out our YotaPhone 2 hands-on for more details.

Do you plan to buy the YotaPhone 2, rather than a better-known flagship?
