Windows Phone 7 is coming to Europe as soon as October 21st with 2,000 apps ready?
By now, it's no secret that Europe will be reaping the joys of Windows Phone 7 first for a bit of time before US consumers even have the opportunity of experiencing Microsoft's next generation mobile platform. Even though we'll all be getting acquainted very shortly, there is a date starting to surface that indicates when European consumers will be actually seeing devices in the flesh at their local stores.

Based on a leaked document from Three UK, it appears that October 21st will be the day that customers might get the chance to pick themselves up a Windows Phone 7 handset from Samsung's camp. Finding itself in between the BlackBerry Torch 9800 and Samsung Europa, there is a “Windows 7Phone” in between that dishes up the October 21st date and the notion that approximately 2,000 apps will be available for it at launch. Come to think of it, that's a healthy amount for a platform that's just starting to come around, but then again, it's Microsoft we're talking about here.

The 4” Super AMOLED display it'll be sporting would make it seem that it's the Samsung Cetus SGH-916 or 917 that we've been seeing of late, but we'll all know for sure very shortly.
