Windows 10 Mobile 10586.63 is released to Windows Insiders' fast ring

Windows 10 Mobile 10586.63 is released to Windows Insiders' fast ring
You're a Windows Insider who lives life in the fast lane. When it comes to receiving previews, it is the fast ring for you. So what if the build is a little buggy? With the fast ring, you get to install the latest insider build of Windows 10 Mobile before those in the slow ring. On the other hand, by the time the slow ring receives the update, it is quite stable.

A new build, Windows 10 Mobile 10586.63, has been released to the fast ring. The update fixes certain issues and adds some new features according to Reddit user 'jenmsft', who claims to be a Microsoft employee. She states that the new build makes the platform more reliable, and contains battery and performance improvements. It gives users the ability to type on a Polish QWERTY in Outlook Mail. It also allows a Windows 10 Mobile phone to disseminate turn-by-turn directions in a car, over Bluetooth.

After installing the new build, using the Windows Hello iris recognition feature will eat up less battery life than before. The update allows the Quick Action settings page to become more reliable, and you will notice improvements when using the Microsoft Band with Cortana.

According to Microsoft VP Gabriel Aul, the update will be evaluated over the next few days as fast ring subscribers get to use it. If all goes well, Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.63 will be pushed out soon to those in the slow ring.

Come on Microsoft, what's the point of insider programs? Release the bloody thing already.

Do you want MS to release it now with tons of bugs which will make it run like crap, or take more time to polish it and make it run like a champ?

Windows 10 mobile is the most satisfying interface to use compared to Android and iOS. Note: I'm not talking about apps numbers here.

It Depends on user. I love windows phones UI more than 10 may be bcuz i haven't used w10 for more than 15 minutes. I know many who thinks windows phones UI ugly as hell but my eyes says opposite And I find many android perform as smooth as WP with almost same specs. And they multitasking better than most WP of the sane league (from my experience WP is the worst when it comes to multitasking even on 1GB+ phones; yes Loading.. And Resuming..(Bug?) Is what I'm talking about) . But UI is fantastic in my eyes. And extremely clean(yes sometimes I'm gonna have to press more than twice to do a simple task) but a great platform to look forward.

even with 2 gbs of ram on my icon it seems to just drop an app and give me a loading screen saying resuming..then the bluetooth problems, camera problem MMS problems Tethering problems. I still like my 929 icon. but wont look back once I get my Z3 back in action

Need to be a die hard Microsoft fan to overlook WP10 bugs and related flaws.

I could say that about any OS, when my daily job is dealing with android f'ups...I am so glad I am a fan that deals with miniscule w10 bugs. Today alone I have dealt with updates bricking a phone, updates causing restarts, fbi lock virus, and more. Not to mention we had to reset our iphone today since it wouldn't stop crashing, this is our teams iphone...not personal.

You do realize you can theme Android to look like WIndows 10 Mobile or whatever it is you desire, right? It's just an app away: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lx.launcher8&hl=en

It's not the exact same or give the same feeling, no matter what theme you download

No matter how you put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig!

You could say the exact same for Windows phone, except you don't have the opportunity to put lipstick on it.

Best thing about WP UI is that it looks premium compared to stock andriod

Yeah, WP UI looks premium compared to stock Android, but Android OS performs premiumly compared to Windows Phone! Not to mention multi-tasking!

have you owned one? I would guess not! why does an android fanboy comment on a windows article?

All this talk of multi-tasking, yet here I am able to have ad free youtube running in the back ground while I work on other things, and then seamlessly go back to the video.

Its happens to me when switching apps. Like WhatsApp to UC browser or reading something on adobe reader then received a WhatsApp message then it shows "resuming.." Kinda annoying sometimes.

will have to try those situations. Currently I don't use UC Browser. I am constantly going between say, 9gag, no resume/loosing my spot, and tubecast, edge, messages, candy crush, all without a resum. Edge will resume every so often after I have about 5+ apps inbetween going back. More so a reload of the page than actually getting a resume screen.

I have never have it go "seamlessy" go back to anything and when I multi task on android it pick up where I left off. WP10 I go from instagram beta to edge to facebook then back to instagram to be greeted with a loading screen saying resuming..or i am texting , get a call go back to texting get "resuming". look Android does some things better.

Then our experience is different. I don't use instagram beta...I use 6tag. In fact just did this test, windows central was open since last night, despite me using texting and other stuff. So I opened an article, then hit home, opened sms, then opened 6tag, 6tag middle of liking a post, went back to sms was still in the middle of writing a text no resume. Went back to windowscentral app, the screen did a flicker but no resume and it was still where I left off. I opened up a game, still where I left off. So while you have a never...I get a smooth great going, using a 1520 on latest win10 build. I haven't seem resume in a long time. You may want to backup, reset, do not recover, update OS, reset, then recover.

It made my phone instantly faster with this small update; especially Edge. Also, the update fixed the disappearing tiles bug, where the icon for the tile wouldn't show up. I'll check in a bit, but hopefully they enabled USB OTG for some of the older phones.
