White HTC DROID Incredible 2 coming to Best Buy as an exclusive

The September issue of the Best Buy Buyer's Guide shows that Best Buy will have an exclusive coming soon, the white variant of the HTC DROID Incredible 2. A tipster for Android Central is saying to expect the device to be available around August 21st which is just a few days away. Everything about the handset is the same as that on the more traditional black version of the DROID Incredible 2 including the price, which is $149.99 after a signed two year contract.

We wonder where this leaves the expected silver version of the HTC DROID Incredible 2 which we reported last month was expected to head to Verizon. Or perhaps this is that same model (the picture made the phone look silver, but perhaps it was white?) With new Android models coming soon with faster dual-core processors and larger screens, can a simple color change reignite demand for a model that now seems a bit dated?
