WhatsApp for iOS gets an update - you can now draw on photos and videos

About two weeks after WhatsApp for Android was updated with various new features, today the iOS version of the app received a similar update.

Following the update (version 2.16.12), WhatsApp for iOS lets you draw or add emojis and text on top of your photos and videos by making use of different brush sizes and font styles. Similar features have been available for some time now on Snapchat and Instagram Stories (as you may know, WhatsApp and Instagram are both owned by Facebook).

The latest version of WhatsApp for iOS also makes it easier for group admins to invite people to join a group.

While the updated WhatsApp for Android includes support for front-facing flash and an easy way to zoom in and out while recording video, the changelog for the iOS app does not mention these features.

WhatsApp for iOS is free and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store (see the source link below).
