What's up with WhatsApp? These newly leaked features, that's what
A new report out of Germany says that popular messaging app WhatsApp is about to add some new features and make some revisions. For example, screenshots from WhatsApp version 2.16.7.257 Beta show that the app will start sharing music between users. Tunes stored on a phone can be shared as can Apple Music tracks. For the latter to work, both the sender and recipient have to be subscribers to Apple's streaming music service. When the music sharing feature is employed, a music player appears on the screen along with the CD cover of the song.

Big emoji. You read that right. Big emoji. And they are coming to WhatsApp according to one of the reports that was published on Thursday. They will be the size of the emoji coming with iOS 10, which are triple the current size.

With public groups on WhatsApp, content can be posted by anyone who has a link to that particular group. However, admins will be allowed to withdraw the link if they want to close the public chat. Mentions will allow users to tag people within a chat if they are listed in their address book.

As we said, this build of WhatsApp is in beta right now; eventually these features will be available from the version of the Facebook owned messaging app available from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
