Voice Band app for the iPhone lets you use your voice to make music
If you have some time and are known for your creative talents around music, you may want to check out the Voice Band app that's available on the iPhone. It allows you to make music with your smartphone by simply singing into it – your recorded voice is actually transformed into the sounds of actual instruments like the drums or bass. You can record instruments one at a time and combine them at the end so you end up with your masterpiece – there's even an auto pitch mode that allows you to stay in tune and comes with an adjustable scale & metronome. Finally there are other editing options that includes a built-in effects processor with distortion, reverb, and delay. If you have the creative mind behind composing music, you can download this app for $2.99. On another note, it's probably best to record your song behind closed doors first before unveiling it to friends and family – it just seems a bit awkward having to see someone sing weird sounds into their iPhone.
