Viber's Hold & Talks feature finally makes an appearance on its Windows Phone version
Although it does not have a user base as big as WhatsApp's (and got acquired for a more down-to-earth sum of money), Viber is still among the crème de la crème of cross-platform messenger services. Its Windows Phone version is gradually becoming better and better, as it's constantly acquiring the missing features that are already available on its Android and iOS peers. One of the latest updates to the app brought Hold & Talk to the table, a useful feature that allows Windows Phone users to instantly send brief audio messages to one another.

While this might not be among Viber's killer features for most users, the recent update also came with a slight dose of interface refreshment. Now, Viber's Windows Phone version come with a handy standalone button that invokes the sticker repository. In the meantime, the design has also received some needed love – the call screen has been subjected to a substantial overhaul, while the default background has also been replaced for a brand new one. In addition, two new languages – Persian and Bulgarian – have also decided to show up on the list of supported ones.

As with most app updates, Viber for Windows Phone has also scored the usual performance improvements thanks to the latest update. The changelog states only one particular refreshment by name - the app now loads conversations faster. A pretty good one, if you ask us.
