Verizon updates Samsung Galaxy S5 to Android 4.4.4

If you're a Samsung Galaxy S5 owner and a Verizon customer, we have some good news. Android 4.4.4 is on the way to your handset and will fix audio issues that you might have experienced with Bluetooth. The update is coming to the phone OTA, and weighs in at a hefty 346MB. No major changes are expected, but that is not much of a surprise. After all, Android 4.4.3 takes care of bug fixes, while Android 4.4.4 deals with security issues.

Verizon has yet to issue a changelist, but those who have received the update mention the Bluetooth fix. One Galaxy S5 owner on Big Red said that after updating his phone, he was prompted to sign up for free visual voicemail.

If you're a Samsung Galaxy S5 owner on Verizon, keep an eye peeled for this update. You should be on a Wi-Fi network when downloading and installing it, so as not to waste your precious data allowance. Also, you should have your battery charged to at least 50% before starting the updating process.
