Verizon officially announces the Samsung Gusto, but LetsTalk is still paying you to buy one
Indirect partner LetsTalk might've gotten a head start in opening up the gate for sales of the Samsung Gusto, but Verizon was quick to make an official announcement regarding the handset today. The situation we reported yesterday about LetsTalk selling the Samsung Gusto ahead of Verizon making an announcement is a rarity in itself, but the number one carrier is following procedure by formally introducing this basic clamshell device. The entry-level flip handset will probably attract customers who are looking for an inexpensive mobile solution – especially when it features a VGA camera, Bluetooth, 1,000mAh battery, and VZ Navigator. Even though Big Red is selling the handset for free with an accompanying 2-year agreement online, LetsTalk's offer might prove to be a bit more appealing since they're giving you $75 for just purchasing it with them. If online shopping isn't your kind of thing, you can wait for this to hit Verizon stores in the coming weeks – but expect to pay $19.99 for the handset after a $50 mail-in-rebate.
