Unannounced Motorola Moto X Force shows up again, more color options revealed
Besides releasing the Moto X Style (aka X Pure Edition), Moto X Play, and Moto G (2015), Motorola seems to be readying another new Moto smartphone for later this year: the Moto X Force.

First spotted as the Motorola Bounce, the Moto X Force is expected to be released in December (though we don't know exactly where the device will be available). While Motorola has yet to confirm the existence of the X Force, we've already seen two renders of the handset. Now, it's time for more renders, which show the smartphone's white, blue, and red variants.

Just like the Moto X Style / X Pure Edition, the X Force seems to have a front-facing camera with LED flash. More interestingly, unlike the Moto X Style, the Moto X Force has two speaker grilles bellow the display. Perhaps there's a fingerprint sensor in the middle? We can't really tell, but it's a possibility.

It's said that the Moto X Force sports a shatterproof, 5.4-inch Quad HD display, while being powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The handset should also feature 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB / 64 GB of storage space, a 21 MP rear camera, and a 3760 mAh battery. Sounds good, doesn't it?

I like everything about the phone... except the back plate. I prefer the Style design better... And what is the deal with the lower front speaker(s), I'm really curious to see what that's all about.

That Is A Weird Design Choice Isn't It.

It's similar to the Moto X Play which leads me to believe that this will be released State side as a Droid Turbo 2 as the X Play is more than likely be released as the Droid Maxx 2. If that happens then I'll have to stick with the pure edition. Even though I am on Verizon's network, I refuse to be tied to it any longer than I need to be.

I Was Talking About The Speakers Not The Overall Design And Yeah I'm sure It Will Be.

Yeah, I hope you're wrong, but Moto has to have their retarded exclusives with Verizon for some reason. It will cripple sales for what is potentially their best device, just like the Droid Turbo last year.

Read posts 13, 17, & 25 below, it's almost a certainty that it'll be the new Verizon exclusive device. It sucks, but that's the way it is.

How dare they offer a more powerful phone to those willing to pay extra for power and ruggedness! This is an outrage! But wait, why is the outrage not coming from Moto X Style buyers, but rather from the resident anti-Moto troll? Whom do you speak for, Mxy?

And why didn't they make some of these features available for the Style? But I don't expect a real answer from someone who doesn't bother to read and understand.

I've read more than enough about the Style/Pure. The reason for using the 808 is most likely cost and stability (it's going in the new Nexus as well, and you yourself have said the 810 is a disaster.) The battery on the Style is smaller because they wanted to keep the Moto X shape and handfeel. Those are conscious decisions on Moto's part.

Given that this is only going to be available in the US on Verizon as a flagship Droid - and priced more in line with other flagships - this doesn't really compete with the X Pure. One is a ruggedized, spec'd out (if you trust the SD810) tank, and the other is a lightweight phablet at a bargain unlocked price. I don't know what pricing and availability will look like outside the US, so I can't speak to the marketing there.

Why didn't Samsung offer all the feature of the Note on the Galaxy S6? .... because then it'd be the same damned phone doofus. But I don't see you crying about that. Such double standards.

Or why didn't Apple offer OIS and a 1080p screen on the iPhone 6? Because it's the cheaper device. Different products, different sizes, different price points.

I doubt this would be released in the US. It might be Droid Turbo 2

I would personally go Nexus 5 unless you need the bigger battery and ruggedness.

Not ridiculously huge like the style but still too big. Nice specs though.

Wonder if this is an initiative from Lenovo to cover more bases, midrange, rugged, phablet. I was only expecting one Moto X this year.

Is this a Star Wars themed phone? It's called "Force." Sith use red, Jedi Guardians use blue. It's being released coincidentally in the same month as Star Wars The Force Awakens. :::connecting dots:::

Oooo that's good. That's REALLY good. I hadn't even thought of the timing. Verizon has a licensing deal with Lucasfilm to use the Droid name, and the Force Awakens does come out in December. I see a Droid Force in Verizon's future.

Yep yep yep. "SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lucasfilm announced today that they are collaborating with seven of the world's most well-known brands -- [including] Verizon -- for the launch of an expansive, historic promotional campaign in support of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," opening on December 18."
