Ulysse Nardin's Chairman is all wound up
Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has taken the inner workings of a fine Swiss timepiece and have put it all together with cellphone components to manufacture what they are calling "The first luxury Smart phone made with watch DNA". The Chairman hybrid smart phone uses kinetic technology and will be showcased at the Baselworld 2009 show that runs from March 26th through April 2nd.. The device is manufactured by hand and uses a kinetic motor system that is built into the design and look of the phone. The unique smartphone is made to work on any cellular GSM provider in the world and is supposed to have several components never before seen in such a device. 1,846 units will made of this phone and while details are few right now, we should have a lot more information about this model in the next week or two. In the meantime, we can say that with all of the moving parts, this could be such a mesmorizing handset that it will not be the Chairman of the bored.
