Tim Cook "thrilled" with Apple iPhone 8/8 Plus and Apple Watch sales as he visits Palo Alto Apple Store

Apple CEO Tim Cook visited the Apple Store in Palo Alto, California this morning to watch first hand the launch of the Apple iPhone 8, Apple iPhone 8 Plus and the Apple Watch Series 3. Inside the store, Cook chatted with customers and even took part when "the wave" was started up inside the retail location. Cook told CNBC that a connectivity issue with the Apple Watch Series 3 was not affecting demand for the stand-alone timepiece. He added that the problem is a minor one that will be fixed in a future software update. According to the executive, the smartwatch has "sold out in so many places around the world."

Cook added that at some stores, the Apple iPhone 8 and Apple iPhone 8 Plus are sold out. But he quickly added that Apple has good supply of the phones. The CEO said that he was thrilled and that he couldn't be happier.

Earlier reports by analysts called for lower than normal sales for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 during the launch weekend, all because of the iPhone X. The tenth anniversary model will launch on November 3rd and many consumers are waiting to test out the premium model before deciding which version to buy.

Seems a bit desperate to me. A typical Trump, sorry Cook, move by the company that was pivotal in designing the fake news industry that Trump adopted for his "politics".

We all know the reality, his spin changes nothing. I don't think Apple customers appreciate going shopping and only having half of the options available. Apple sells millions of devices so he can always say it's going great when great means millions of devices. But everyone who doesn't want the now very old 8 design is anxiously waiting and pondering all the other new options on the horizon.

Isn't this the same story every year, Apple releases a limited batch, when they sell out it creates hype, which drives up demand. They probably saw the lowered preorders and only shipped out an even smaller amount than last year

Gotta even love phonearenas spin...8 line affected by people “waiting” on the x lol. While im sure that could be the case, there are people like me who were completely disappointed by the 8 & X and this comes from a user since 09 (3gs). Will not be buying either

I’ve been a user since the first model, but started getting burned out after the 6S Plus.

Well, he knows that regardless of whether the customers buy iPhone 8 or just wait for iPhone X, Apple will cash in the profits. So he has all the reasons to be happy :) Samsung *really* needs to speed up the Galaxy S9, and it better be miles better than the S8 !

Proud old Nancy Tim "Lou Sannus" Cook is really looking like an old woman.
