The waterproof Sony Xperia acro S "not currently planned to come to the US"
It turns out that if you are longing to snap some photos on the beach or while rafting down the river without worrying that your smartphone will cease to exist, you'll have to do it with some other waterproof phone in the US, rather than the Sony Xperia acro S.

The recently announced for release in Q3 handset is  "not currently planned to come to the US", Sony answered us in a live chat session about the Xperia acro S and the Xperia go on its official blog.

So you'll have to make do with the Xperia go, which will be called Xperia advance in the US, but then, of course, you will be snapping with a 5MP shooter instead of the 12MP Exmor R sensor on the Xperia acro S.

The live chat session is still going on, so you can head over to Sony's blog and fire away your question, the two members of the marketing team seem to be answering to everyone's questions and concerns.
