T-Mobile pulls the LG G6 BOGO deal in the US for reasons unknown

T-Mobile and LG announced a few days ago a promotion on the latter's flagship, the G6, which will run through May 10 to June 8. The promotional offer would allow customers to buy one LG G6 at full price and receive another one for free.

Even though consumers would have to pay for both phones, LG would send a rebate in the form of a $500 electronic check by email after approximately six weeks.

Well, it looks that the BOGO deal offer on the LG G6 has been pulled by T-Mobile and is no longer available on its website. The carrier issued an internal document addressed to T-Mobile stores reps, which confirms that the promotion for the LG G6 “has been pulled and cannot be honored.”

The reasons for LG's decision are unknown, but perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Samsung has kicked off a similar BOGO deal on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. We don't even know which of the two companies have decided to pull the promotion, or if it was a mutual decision.

Regardless, if you previously planned to grab the LG G6 and take advantage of the BOGO deal at the same time, then you're out of luck. Perhaps the promotion will be re-enabled in the coming weeks, so you might want to refrain from getting the phone for a little while.
