T-Mobile G2 and T-Mobile myTouch 4G permanently rooted
This time we can't say "that didn't take long", since the T-Mobile G2 has been out for a while, successfully fending off bounties to kill the bug that restores the ROM in its original state upon reset each time someone tries to root it. The permanent hack involves applying the temporary root, and a couple of additional steps, which are not very complicated.

Courtesy of the fine people at Xda-Devs, the just-released T-Mobile myTouch 4G has also been accessed at root level, and here we can easily supply our favorite phrase in these cases - "well, that didn't take long". Head over to the links in the source, and, as always, follow instructions very carefully if this is something new for you, or you might render your devices inoperable.
