Sony Xperia Z4 Compact seemingly confirmed for the summer with a DoCoMo coding of SO-04G

Hot on the heels of the leaked codenames that will eventually represent an Xperia Z4 Compact and Z4 Ultra yesterday, comes another proof that a mini version of the Xperia Z4 is in the cards, too.
As you can see in the leaked accessory catalog screenshot below, the spring/summer portfolio of NTT DoCoMo will likely include both the Z4, and a phone simply dubbed Z4 Compact.

Me too. If they squeeze 3GB of ram in this one and release a purple variant, I'll be sold.

Same here, Z3 is best Android smartphone ever if you ask me. Sony get your s*it together with that crappy audio coming from headphone jack, that's the only problem I have with their phones.

But do you have an issue? or are you talking about general sound quality? Because I have no issues with mine, though I mostly use bluetooth for my music, the sound I get is superb. I keep ClearAudio+ for most of my devices and only turn it off when watching movies, or for a specific Bose Speaker.

Agree with all of you guys. I would love to see a rugged Z4 Compact with a long lasting 2800 to 3000 Mah Battery , the IMX 240 with Software as good as the Samsung S6 ( not easy) to get the most out of the Sensor. Sony also mentioned improved Audio with Amplifiers for the hopefully improved Speakers and improved DACs for the headphones. Hopefully we will also see an optimized for USA Carriers version here. Samsung S6 is an almost great phone but will never have the Battery Life for many Users- If Manufacturers are going to go to 600 ppi they need to have user selectable resolution 2K for Movies at Home and switch back to 1080p for Office or Mobile Office. Many of us use our phones for work and play and we need Pro Class Devices with larger Batteries. 6.5 millimeter " Thin" if they must for pretty , stylish Consumer Phones and 7.8 mm or whatever it takes for the Pros. Z3 Compact was almost great- a bit too fragile and some QC issues. SONY can come out on top IF they don't compromise.... Look as S6 Edge people WILL pay a premium for a great or unique Device. S6 and S6 Edge will be known as almost great but let down by the small batteries- so the door is open for SONY.

This aperture is almost impossible to achiever with such big sensor in ma mobile device. Don't forget thet IMX220 is one of the biggest sensors out there so it can catch more light even with dimmer optics.

I like the fact that they make a "compact" version of their flagships. Some of us in the world do not need to compensate our short comings with giant objects to make us feel on par with everyone else. Keep it up Sony and release it on or make it compatible with more carriers. I would have bought the Z3 compact at full price if I would have been able to use it on Verizon's network, but alas!

Phone Arena's epic filtering with only... mAh: 2700 Display: no more than 4.999" Band 1700/2100 T-Mobile 1 gotdamn phone, Blackberry Passport, no thanks. Is this REALLY too much to ask for? Am I being unrealistic here? Smartphone market right now is narcissist and disposable. Sony, please make an epic compact, thank you.
