Deal: Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact now costs $505 (or $549 with a $50 Best Buy gift card included)

About a month after making its US debut, the Sony Xperia XZ1Compact - one of the world's first smartphones to run Android 8 Oreo out of thebox - is now almost $100 cheaper.

Amazon is currently offering the Xperia XZ1 Compact startingat $504.99 - $95 off the phone's launch price ($599.99). Only the black versionof the XZ1 Compact is available for $504.99, while the other three colorverstions - pink, blue, silver - cost $549.99.

Best Buy is discounting the Xperia XZ1 Compact, too, sellingthe phone for $549.99, regardless of color. Best Buy is throwing in a $50 giftcard with each purchase, so you can actually save a total of $100 (of course, that $50 gift card is valid only at Best Buy, but at least you can use itwhenever you want, as it has no expiration date).

Both Amazon and Best Buy are offering the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compactwith US warranty for 1 year. The handset should be a good choice for anyone whodoesn't like large devices, as it sports a 4.6-inch 720p display in a small,water-resistant body. Moreover, this phone is very powerful, thanks toQualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor and plenty of other high-end features. Youcan find out more about the device from our Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact review.

Fortunately this small is small enough to not care about those bezels.

I'd rather get a phone with sizeable bezels but with excellent battery endurance than a bezeless phone with mediocre battery life.
