Sony Xperia Tablet Z starts globetrotting, up for preorder in Europe

Sony Xperia Tablet Z is the first to really put the company on the tablet map, built with the usual impeccable styling by Sony, while offering a waterproof body in an extremely slim package, not to mention it finally sports a Full HD display.

For now it was revealed only during NTT DoCoMo's spring lineup presentation in Japan, but it was safe to assume the rest of the world wouldn't be long behind. Indeed, if a recent preorder posting at a Finnish online retailer is any indication, Sony's innovative waterproof slate is likely to see the light of day in Europe pretty soon, too.

What we don't like, though, is the pricing the gadget is listed at, which, at €799 is equivalent to more than a grand in dollars, but, hey, it's Finland, which is notorious for overpriced preorders. We are quite positive that when the Xperia Tablet Z hits retail, the price will be comparable to other Android slates out there, which don't have a slim watertight chassis.
