Sony Xperia S 1080p video tested under the rough conditions of a live concert
The Sony Xperia S 12MP Exmor R camera is shaping to be one of the most potent smartphone snappers this season, as attested by the cowboy shootout between Sony's handset and a few other high-end phones.

One area we haven't been able to test it in yet is low-light video capture, probably the worst scenario of all for a smartphone to try and shoot 1080p footage with aplomb.

Along comes the concert of a popular Thai indie band called "25 Hours". About 5 minutes from its concert have been recorded with the Xperia S 12MP camera in Full HD, and now you can explore the result. It is not bad at all considering the challenging low-light conditioins and the fast moving band members, not to mention that the sound quality seems quite stellar.

Of course, YouTube adds its own compression, so the actual footage is likely a tad better, but if you want to see how the 1080p video will look like when you take your Xperia S to a live concert, have a glimpse at the clip below.
